Comparison methodology

How Monetrivo evaluates borrowing products.

Our framework is designed to keep the complete cost, consumer risks, and clarity of provider disclosures ahead of promotional claims.

What Monetrivo currently provides

Monetrivo publishes original educational guides, calculators, and scenario-based comparison checklists. The site does not currently rank live lenders, collect loan applications, or present individualized rate quotes.

When a page asks about amount, purpose, or a general credit range, those answers are used only to organize educational considerations. They are not used to determine eligibility or approval.

What we compare

When discussing a borrowing product, we prioritize APR, fees, monthly payment, term, total repayment, rate type, credit-check process, funding timing, customer support, and material eligibility requirements.

We also consider whether a provider clearly explains its role as a lender, broker, marketplace, or lead generator.

01

Same-scenario comparison

Products should be compared using the same amount and a similar term whenever possible.

02

Total cost over headline claims

Advertised speed or monthly payment does not outweigh APR, fees, and total repayment.

03

Risks shown with benefits

Important tradeoffs and warning signs should appear alongside potential advantages.

Product coverage

Monetrivo does not claim to cover every lender or every product available. Product availability varies by state, credit profile, income, membership, and provider policy.

A provider's absence should not be interpreted as a negative judgment. Likewise, inclusion in future comparison content will not guarantee that a product is suitable for a particular person.

Rankings and sponsored placements

There are currently no paid lender rankings on Monetrivo. If sponsored placements are introduced, they will be labeled and governed by this methodology and our advertising disclosure.

Compensation may affect whether or where a partner appears, but it will not change the cost factors and risks we tell readers to review.

Research and updates

We favor primary materials such as provider disclosures, regulatory resources, official fee schedules, and product terms. Pages include an updated date when practical.

Rates, fees, and eligibility rules can change. Readers should verify current terms directly with a provider before applying.

Corrections

We aim to correct material errors promptly and update content when a meaningful product or policy change is identified.

Corrections or questions can be sent to hello@monetrivo.com with the page URL and the information that may need review.
